it takes two to make a thing go right

My coworker Brian said that when I find out a guy likes me, I throw my hands up in the air and say, "I'm out!"

My best friend from home, Rachel, made me take a quiz titled "Am I too picky when it comes to guys?"

My friend Maribeth said to me today, that whenever a guy likes a girl, the girl always tends to like him back because she wants to be liked and likes the attention. Then Maribeth tagged on the the end of that sentence, "it works for very girl except you."

Is there an underlying theme to these comments I should be aware of???
