repeat offender: Kevin and Melissa are engaged!

I met Kevin through my best friend Allison. Kevin lives two blocks down the street from me on Park Ave. We were on the same kickball team this past summer, on the same dodgeball team now, and both participate in Modern Family Night. Kevin is the nicest guy - he is really outgoing and has always made me feel welcome. His fiance, Melissa, is also super nice - not to mention gorgeous!

This summer, Kevin and I were driving back home from a kickball game - which I'm sure we lost - and as we were driving down Main Street, he told me the story of how he and Melissa met. They met at a VT tailgate.... in Atlanta! What are the odds! He got her number, but he said he was nervous to call her (Ok, guys... I didn't know ya'll got nervous!). He told me how he kept saying to himself, at the next stop light, I'm going to call her. I think he had to go through about five stop lights, but he finally got the nerve to call - and they have been dating ever since, and are now recently engaged. A summer wedding is planned :)

The engagement party was at Kevin's Mom's house in Bon Air. Allison came all the way from Hilton Head Island to attend the engagement party. It was so much fun seeing her, and to be able to celebrate Kevin and Melissa.

After the party, a bunch of people went out downtown to Delux for a few drinks. My good friend, Laura, showed up. I met her through Allison, so it was great having the three of us all together.
