Sometimes I just really want a margarita. This is really odd considering it's never my go-to beverage. Laura and I had planned on going to Plaza Azteca for happy hour and dinner (we had a coupon!). Neither of us had bad weeks nor did we have excellent weeks - we just really wanted a margarita. It's really awesome having a friend that you can just call up on a whim and go to happy hour with.
Margs
It's an interesting story of how me and Laura met. I've lived in Richmond for only two years, but feel like I've known Laura forever. We met through our mutual friend, Allison. We had only hung out a few times, but clicked really quickly. People began asking us how we met; I started off saying, "Well, our friend..." (about to bring up Allison's name), and then Laura would shout out, "We're besties!" and then I just stared at her and thought, this girl is hilarious and is now a true friend of mine.
But really our friendship goes back to my senior year of college. My roommate Allison had a theme dinner as her senior project, and Laura and I both attended.

The summer after I graduated college, I went to see Jason Mraz with Allison - and of course, Laura and Andy :)

It's pretty cool that Laura used to joke about us being besties, and now we really are.
Laura knows that I think mustaches are funny.
She thinks they're funny, too.
She's always up for anything fun: wineries, skydiving, apple picking, dancing, etc. You name it, she'll do it with you.
She's easily the best jump partner I know!
Laura has a great sense of humor. She doesn't get embarrassed and is always more than willing to do something silly to make anyone laugh.
Exhibit A:
Not only is Laura funny, but she's really thoughtful. She made her friends individual cards with verses on them, and drove all around Richmond to deliver the cards (as well as cupcakes). She has been known around the City of Richmond as "The Cupcake Fairy".
Laura is also extremely polite. Instead of saying "no thank you" or "get away jerk" when a creeper flirts with her, she whips out her cell phone that has an image of her cute nephew, telling the creep that her nephew is her baby. It works every time, like a charm.

Arts and crafts are just one of Laura's numerous hobbies. She's constantly getting new ideas off of Pinterest, but she actually makes them!

Laura loves a good rave. Well, really any party that has glow sticks.

Call a cab!
Friday nights at Bandito's is 80's night. We've ventured there a time or two... we've also managed to see the Legwarmer's twice since they've been in Richmond. Laura loves beep boppin' around to 80's music.
Like me, Laura never misses an opportunity to be in front of a camera.
No, really. We're constantly trying to get into pictures.
The question game is a great ice breaker. If you could eat one food every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? If your life was like a TV show, which one is it and what character are you playing? If you had to sit in a tub full of one type of food, what would you fill the tub with? If your face had to be frozen, what would it look like?

She loves to celebrate every holiday!
She makes the most out of every opportunity.
She gets me, loves me, and accepts me.
I'm so thankful to have met Laura. She is such an awesome friend, and is part of what makes me call Richmond home. We work and live on separate sides of town, but we're in frequent communication to where we know what's going on in each others lives. Things are always more fun when she's around, and I love how we're always thinking the same thing. It's pretty cool to be on the same wavelength :)
Oh, and by the way, the coupon for Plaza Azteca was only good for Mon-Thurs, and so was happy hour. We went on a Friday night, and still had a blast!
Besties
Thanks Laura for being you! I so enjoyed opening up a card every day last week, and I'm constantly reminded of how blessed I am to have you as my bestie! (for real this time).
Who's your bestie, folks?
