blah the scene, love the music
Last Saturday, one of my good friends from JMU, Taylor Adkins, called me to meet up for dinner. It was unexpected and quite the surprise. I hadn't seen him in a good year, give or take a few. He was driving up to Northern VA from Harrisonburg for the night to see a concert - I felt so special that he fit me into his schedule :) We ate dinner at Rio Grande, a chain restaurant that specializes in Mexican food. Taylor and I used to meet at Festival on campus for dinner, and we would just sit and talk for hours. He is so easy to talk to, and very comical - and we all know how much I love to laugh! Needless to say, having a meal with him again was a great experience. We got to catch up on each others lives and just chat about anything that came to our minds. I always enjoyed talking about God with Taylor. He is such an empowering Christian: he doesn't care if he fits the "Christian Cookie Cutter Mold" or not, but has such a strong faith and is truly inspiring. He is one of those guys that even if I don't talk to them everyday, when we do talk, it's like nothing has changed. Taylor, whether you know it or not, you've made such an impact on my life! When I think of my friends I made at JMU, your name definitely comes to my mind. Thanks for always listening and I can't wait till our paths cross again :)
