This weekend, in lieu of celebrating Valentine's Day with chocolates, I ran in the Cupid's Undie Run in DC with my friend Leila. That's right, I ran around the Capitol in my underroos. Oh, and they were Valentine's Day themed.
This run was hosted by Pour House, a bar in DC to benefit the Children's Tumor Foundation: Ending Neurofibromatosis Through Research. So, I legally got to run around the Capitol in my underroos AND it was for a good cause! Totally a win-win situation! The Pour House gave the runners free pitchers of beer and Georgetown cupcakes before the race. Drinking before a small run is not a wise idea... but I was willing to do anything to get warm! The race was barely 2 miles long, but it felt longer considering the temperature. After the race, a few bars honored our wristbands... so I had a nice lunch with my mixed drink on the side :)
This guy announced that it was almost time for the run... you know what that means - time to strip down to your underroos!
I did manage to take a few photos of Leila and I... but you didn't actually think I'd post them, did you?? Guess you will have to come out and support next year! What can I say, I ran for the kids... I just hope they weren't watching!
