It's the second Sunday of Advent - yipeeee!! CJ and Emily were both out of town today, so Laura and I threw down an awesome advent party --- we had pizza for dinner :) We lit the second "purple" (remember we only have red!) candle. It is the candle of LOVE. This candle is a reminder of the amazing love God has for us. That in Christ he would give up everything to become nothing. That he would submit himself to take on the responsibility of our sins. That He would live the life we should live and die the death we should die - all out of love for us. So tonight, Laura and I relit last Sunday's candle (anticipation) and tonight's candle (love). Two more weeks to go!!!!
