planes.

I participated in the Salley Family Reunion this July in Pungo.  I'm sure you are thinking, "Family reunion??  Super lame..."  And trust me, I was thinking the same thing.  Who wants to go hang around a bunch of weirdos that you are supposedly related to?  Well let me tell you, this was one heck of a family reunion.  Although I am not a Salley by blood, we are still family!  It was exciting to represent the Salley side.

The family reunion was held at the Military Aviation Museum.  We got to the reunion early so we could have plenty of time to tour the museum.  The museum contains old planes that have been restored / renovated and are able to fly!  All the planes in that museum can fly.  It's so cool.  There is also so much history involved.  The condition of these planes is astonishing - they look immaculate.  After the tour, we had some traditional southern food: pulled pork bbq.  Afterwards we hit up Bergy's, which may have been the highlight of the day.  Oh wait, did I tell you I flew in 1940 restored plane?  A De Havilland DH-89A Dragon Rapide?  Identical to the one in The King's Speech?  Yep, that was definitely my highlight :)

I had waaay too many photos, but just selected a few for your viewing pleasure.  Enjoy
