Laura, CJ, and I went to see the Legwarmers at the National for the second time. We dressed up in our usual 80's attire: cut off tops, neon colors, and legwarmers. This time we had glow sticks, crimped our hair, and used lots of hair spray.

The concert was a blast! I was a little disappointed they didn't play "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds (which came out the year I was born!), but they still played a lot of the classics: Jessie's Girl, Africa, I Love Rock and Roll, I Melt With You, 99 Red Balloons, and Safety Dance... the list goes on!
I noticed that not many people knew the lyrics to many of the 80's songs that were played, but everyone shouted out the chorus and beep bopped around - which I'm totally into! I admit, I didn't know many of the words either, but I loved dancing to the music.
It's pretty hilarious that people used to dress like that, and actually thought it was cool. But as my good friend Brian says, "Everything old is new". Here's to leggings and neon colors!
Cheers!
Anna
