Friday night, I went and saw the movie Due Date with some of the girls in my small group. The movie was hilarious!! I was surprised at how packed the movie theatre was for a Friday night -- but apparently it was the opening night of the movie. I was laughing every five minutes. There was one scene that I felt was really unnecessary to the humor of the movie; I just found it crude. But other than that, it was awesome!
Saturday night, I went out to Bandito's (aka the Deets) with some of the girls in my small group (talk about being in community!!). Bandito's has "80's night" every Friday night. It's always fun for dancing, but the playlist gets really old, really fast. Saturday night is a wild card night... you never know what the crowd is going to be like or if they'll be playing good music. So it was a risk going. Bandito's is also good to go for "late night". Well, this was definitely an early night considering we were there at 10pm. Needless to say, NO ONE was on the dance floor... oh wait, me and Laura were. That's right, we were ready to get this party started. Start dancing, and they will come!! Not sure if you can tell from the video, but Laura and I were the only two dancing -- after that, people just started running to the dance floor!! Ok, maybe 30 minutes later or so :)
