JMU DUUUUUUUKES

Who doesn't love purple?? My dad, brother, and I went to JMU's Homecoming two weekends ago. JMU played UNH -- and boy, was it a sad game. Even though JMU lost, we had a blast! I went up Friday after work, and we all ate dinner at Bravo's - a tradition of ours. We were at a table of 25 -- but the service was awesome, and the food delicious. Easily the best baked zitti I've ever had. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal, dessert, and wine -- and it was fun catching up with all the other JMU families we only get to see at this time of year. We all discussed who was bringing what at the tailgate -- it's a process. Saturday morning, we all woke up bright and early, bleeding purple. We hit up the bookstore to get some JMU gear... another t-shirt? Absolutely! Then we went to go tailgate and get ready for the game. We couldn't have asked for better weather!

The Antinarella's were also at the game - so Rick and I headed over to their tailgate at the Convo Center to visit with them. They had great food, beer, and fun music. It was fun seeing all of them :)

After the game, the whole gang went out to dinner at Calley's. The food was great -- but Rick and I had been tired from tailgating all day. At one point I thought we were both going to fall asleep at the table!! After dinner, Rick and I bee-lined it back to the hotel to go to bed. We got up early to hit the road -- driving through Harrisonburg reminded me how much I missed JMU. It's funny, when I was there, I thought I was so ready to leave. Now that I'm in the real world, I really miss college -- doing things on my own time, actually having time, and just kicking it with my friends. JMU Homecoming... it's the most wonderful time of the year -- looking forward to next year already!
